| Therapists | | | Jennifer Sayles, MS, OTR/L CHT, Occupational Therapist
Jennifer Sayles MSOTR/L CHT has 16 years of occupational therapy experiences, and in the past seven years, she focused exclusively on hand therapy. Jennifer trained at the Brigham and Woman's Hospital in Boston and recently treated UE injuries in a private practice setting. Jennifer specializes in splinting and the treatment of various arthritic conditions.

| | | Teingo West, MSPT, Physical Therapist
Teingo Michael West is a licensed Physical Therapist who received his Masters Degree at American International College in Springfield in 2007. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a Minor in Exercise Science in 2001 from UMASS, Amherst. Teingo then spent the next four years working as a PT aide at Healthsouth in Holyoke, MA, where he assisted clinicians in various aspects of practice including supervised patient care. He then spent the following two and a half years at AIC, during which he completed affiliations at Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Pioneer Spine and Sports Physicians in East Longmeadow, and here, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Teingo sees a variety of patients with various musculoskeletal disorders ranging from spine and sports related injuries to the aches and pains associated with arthritis and the unavoidable process of aging. Though not certified, he is also well versed in the Cincinnatti Sportsmetrics Jump Program, a plyometric training regimen invented to decrease the incidence of non-contact ACL injuries particularly in young female athletes. He plans to obtain certification in this in the near future. In keeping with the culture here at CDH, Teingo strongley believes in the importance of constantly improving one's clinical skills, and makes it a point to attend at least two continuing education courses per year. Outside of work, Teingo enjoys going to the movies and spending quality time with his wife. | | |
| | | Carolyn Bentley, MEd, PT, LMT, Physical Therapist
Carolyn S. Bentley, a physical therapist in the Amherst satellite, has been with Cooley Dickinson for 21 years. She has earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, a Masters Degree in Education, a BS in Physical Therapy, a license in Massage Therapy and a certification in Myofascial Release. She has been involved in community education on topics that focus on physical therapy intervention in the treatment of spinal disorders, bladder dysfunction, osteoporosis and problems of the foot and ankle during gait. Her research and interest has focused on Women's Health and Healthy Aging. In addition to her work in orthopedics and general rehabilitation, Carolyn offers treatment for female and male bladder and bowel problems and pelvic floor pain. Some areas of specific study include treatment of urinary incontinence; foot, ankle and gait assessment; McConnell approach to patella/femoral pain; shoulder assessment and treatment; Mulligan, McKenzie and Maitland approaches to spinal and peripheral disorders. Prior to moving to western Massachusetts, Carolyn worked at Newton Wellesley Hospital and the VNA and was a supervising therapist at New England Medical Center.

Coni Gilman-Solomon MPT CEAS is the Team Leader for Cooley Dickenson's Amherst office located at 170 University Drive. Coni earned her Bachelor of Science Degree Summa Cum Laude from American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. While there, she went on to receive Masters in Physical Therapy.
Coni has worked in multiple clinical settings with most of her career spent in outpatient orthopedics. Coni has a strong background in orthopedics, program development and return to work physical therapy. She has completed several clinical continuing education courses including: Vestibular Rehabilitation: Evaluation and Management; Evaluation and treatment of the shoulder complex, Lower limb Biomechanics Assessment of the Rearfoot and Forefoot , Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy courses including Cervico-thoracic spine, thoracic spine & Rib cage and the Lumbo-Sacral Spine. Coni holds advanced certifications in Ergonomic Assessment from The Back School of Atlanta as well as Ergoscience Functional Capacity Evaluations.

Steve graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from UMass Lowell in 1995. He then graduated with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from UMass Lowell in 1997.
He has an extensive ciriculum vitae in continuing education, specializing in manual and orthopaedic physical therapy.
Steve is certified in Robin McKenzie's Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the Spine and holds a certificate of completion of level I at the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and will complete a full AAOMPT fellowship in 2010.
He has 12 years of experience in orthopedic, sports medicine, and spine physical therapy and worked 3 years at a Spine Center in Charlotte, NC.

Mary Scanlon-Flynn is a licensed physical therapist who works at the Cooley Dickinson Rehabilation Department's Amherst site at 170 University Drive. Mary graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and holds a Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Sargent College of Allied Health Professions at Boston University. She has been a practicing clinician for sixteen years.
Mary's areas of special interest include acute and sub-acute general orthopedics, post -surgical sports medicine, spinal rehabilitation, geriatrics, women's health and osteoporosis. She particularly enjoys the diversity of patient diagnoses in the outpatient clinic setting. | | |

Carol Stoddard, BS, OTR/L, CHT, is a founding member of the American Society of Hand Therapists with over 35 years experience in hand therapy. She joined CDH in 2005 bringing with her the clinical experience of hospital, outpatient and private practice venues. Carol is guest lecturer and adjunct faculty member with two collegiate programs. She is a board member of the Journal of Hand Therapy. She is nationally recognized as a lecturer in flexor and extensor tendon injuries. | | |
| | | Stacy Troy, MS, PT, Physical Therapist
Stacy has been a physical therapist since 1995. She continued her education and received her Masters specializing in Orthopedic physical therapy. She enjoys working with a multitude of diagnoses from head to foot, some of which include headaches, cervical dysfunction, TMJD, lymphedema and spinal dysfunctions. She uses a manual therapy approach combined with therapeutic exercise to emphasis patient healing/improvement, progression and maintenance of health and function.
